What is Physical Literacy?
Physical literacy is the ability, confidence, and motivation to move effectively and engage in physical activities throughout life. It involves developing fundamental movement skills— such as running, jumping, throwing, and balancing—that enable individuals to participate in sports, recreation, and everyday activities with competence and enjoyment.
